I know this is a stretch, but I thought I'd post any way.
My 1987 MusicMan StingRay was stolen from my parent's garage about 2 - 3 years ago in the Sonora, CA area. I am certain that it was stolen by a guy named Ben - he was staying with my dad at the time and he ripped my dad off while he was away on a trip. I didn't find out for at least a year that it was gone - I came back to get some of my stuff from storage after being in a state of transience for a long time.
The bass was a yellow - red burst. The only identifying characteristic I can think of is that had I removed the clear pick guard at one point and I wore a hole in the finish above the pick-up where I would rest my thumb. There are a few other chips on the top of the body. The case had the name "Jer" painted on the side in big orange letters. I don't have the serial #, but I bought it new in the 80's at Guitar Center in San Francisco.
I decided today that I should make an effort to locate it. I realize now that I miss it dearly. Years of gigging and recording with it, etc. Please reply via if you have any info. I live in SoCal now.
I am offering a $500 reward for it's return.
